Due to the holidays, we’re a little behind. Thank you to all of the following people who sent in donations in November and December of 2008!
Thanks to the support of our volunteers, last week’s Holiday Craft sale was a huge success! For the third year in a row, TPP volunteers sent in donations of handmade items to be sold at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In just three years, our Holiday Craft Sale has become well known amongst the hospital employees.
In year’s past we’ve held a bake sale along with the Holiday Craft Sale. These sales have been extremely profitable. This year the UIHC stopped allowing bake sales in the hospital. Without the lure of the bake sale, we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to drawn in as large of a crowd. So, we decided to hold a two day sale to make up for any lack in bake sale profits. Luckily, the employees of the UIHC did not disappoint. We raised of total of $3900 in two days!
Not only did we raise a ton of money, but we had a wonderful selection of items this year. This was by far the largest craft sale we’ve ever had. We arrived at the hospital at 6am to set-up and it took us over two hours to set everything up. We used every last inch of table space!

We are still extremely desperate for bakers for our upcoming bake sale. (only 3 bakers on our list so far)

We made the pumpkin donation on last Thursday 10/30/2008, just in the time for Halloween. TPP volunteers outdid themselves yet again. Just look at all of these cute pumpkin items!
