Calling All Pattern Designers

We have a fabulous new opportunity for volunteers to support our mission.  We are seeking pattern designers to create and donate patterns for sale in our Ravelry Store.

Ravelry is a free online place for knitters, crocheters, designers, spinners, weavers and dyers to keep track of their yarn, tools, project and pattern information, and look to others for ideas and inspiration.  Ravelry has over 1.5 million users and is a great place for you to keep notes about your projects, see what other people are making, find the perfect pattern and connect with people who love to play with yarn from all over the world in our forums.  You also also purchase patterns for download from the site.  If you are not a member already, we suggest you check it out today!

New Santa Hat Knitting Pattern

Glenna (Anderson) Muse has generously shared her Santa Hat knitting pattern with TPP! Glenna is working on publishing a pattern book with Leisure Arts that will contain several of her holiday themed preemie/infant hat patterns. Check out some of her awesome hats on her blog. Time to Find Your Orange Yarn

Now that the Hawkeye donation has come and gone, our 6th annual pumpkin donation is fast approaching!  We were very short of items for the Hawkeye donation this year.  So we need your help to make this one a success!

For the 6th year in a row, TPP is creating a baby pumpkin patch at the UIHC and we need YOUR help to make it happen.  We’re talking oodles and oodles of cuteness, people!  Simply use orange and green yarn to make pumpkin hats and matching booties.  Afterall, what else are you going to use that yarn for?
