A trip to Kalona Iowa
We had a fun night last night. Laura, Andrea Knepper and I traveled south to Kalona, Iowa to the United Methodist Church. Laura gave a very informal presentation about The Preemie Project.
The United Methodist Church in Kalona has a wonderful group of ladies that do crafting service projects for Kalona and surrounding communities. One of our newer volunteers, Cindy Dayton, brought The Preemie Project to the attention of this group. She facilitated the invitation for us to come tell the group all about The Preemie Project.
You can see Cindy in the far right corner of the picture. We met her last fall when she attended the Memory Box Workshop we had here at our house.
Laura talked about The Preemie Project, our mission, the bereavement items we donate, social service donations, the various holiday and special donations. I hope the group enjoyed the evening as much as we did.
The ladies sent us home with snacks. Of course, we promised ourselves that we would not eat them. It was gone before we got to Iowa City. Thanks for the hospitality.

Andrea Knepper says:
Thank you Cindy for introducing us to the ladies of Moss Country Friends. It was truly a pleasure to meet such a great group.
