About me

My name is Kathleen, from Garden City, Michigan.  I’m one of the coordinators for the Michigan Chapter.  I found The Preemie Project when I was first getting back into knitting.  I like to make baby hats because they are quick!  I also make baby blankets because they take longer and I like to work on those when I’m in the car traveling.

My husband & I have 2 children, Ashley 16 & Brandon 12.

Ashley, was born 4 weeks early.  She got to stay at the hospital for a couple of extra days under the bilirubin lights.  It gives me an appreciation of what parents go through when their child has health problems.

In addition to being a wife, mother, TPP coordinator, I’m a 3rd grade teacher.  School begins for us on Sept. 2nd.  When you me it may take me a while to get back to you as I try and settle into our fall routines!

Wow Kathleen you are busy!  I didn’t know that your daughter was a preemie.  Glad that she turned out happy and healthy!
