about me & current project
Hi - I work with Linda Aker, so I can remember hearing about the Preemie Project from the very beginning. It is just amazing to see how large the group has grown and how many babies and families have been touched by all the volunteer work done by this group. My eyes always well up when I read a thank-you that has been posted. I got excited about joining this group a couple of years ago and had fun knitting and crocheting baby items. Then, I had my own son and have had little time for crafting since them. But, as my little boy nears his 2nd birthday and plays on his own for short spurts of time, I’m trying to sneak off to my sewing room and get some small projects done.
After visiting the craft sell a few weeks ago, I got really excited and began thinking about what I could make for the next sale. I’ve been working on toddler size aprons and am also considering making adult/toddler matching sets in holiday prints! Some of my fondest childhood memories are of baking with mom at Christmas time. Not sure if these will sell well or not, but I think they are cute. Plus, they are quick and easy to sew - perfect for a busy mom!

I think Adult/toddler apron sets would be great. In the kitchen with Mom, that is what the holidays are about.
Nice post!! I know what you mean by the eyes welling up. Laura and I have done a lot of crying here.
