Community Sewing Weekend

Join the Preemie Project to sew Hawkeye Blankets and Sleeper Sacks for donation to the UIHC NICU and PICU.
Sewing skills are not necessary for participation. The UIHC needs 1100 blankets and 900 blankets sleepers each year. So, we need A LOT of help to make this weekend successful!!
We are seeking donations of fleece, flannel, thread and scissors. We also need help with prepping materials and cutting out blankets and sleeper sacks.
When:
August 1-2, 2009
Saturday, 10am - 6pm
Sunday, 12 - 5pm

Iowa City Public Library
Meeting Room A
What if You Need Help Carrying Your Machine?
Volunteers will be available throughout the day to carry machines and supplies into and out of the library. Please don’t let this stop you from attending!
