The October date is fast approaching. New volunteers are always welcome! For first time visitors to our site, here is additional information on the Work Group Weekends:
What are TPP Work Group Weekends?
TPP Work Group Weekends are two days of sewing blankets for the babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC). We welcome volunteers of all ages and sewing skills are not necessary for participation. We’re proud to say that we average 200 finished blankets in one weekend. We need A LOT of help to make these weekends successful.
What should I bring?
1. Sewing Supplies (If you own them already)-sewing machine, thread, scissors, pins, etc
2. Small dish for the potluck lunch

You definitely do not need to know how to sew to help with making the blankets. We need volunteers to iron, trim seams, sort the blankets into the different sizes and get them bagged up so they are ready to be donated. You can come for an hour or two or for the whole weekend. We work really hard but have alot of fun. The nursing staff is so excited to see these blankets when we bring them in. PLEASE, come help!!!
