Crafters Needed:
It’s that time of year again! TPP will be making 3 seasonal donations to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics NICU and PICU this fall. We had trouble getting enough items last year and could use your help! You can use the following goals to guide you for each donation. If we receive items early we will try to update the goals and let you know what we need.

Goals for each donation:
Hat and Bootie Sets: Blankets:
1-3lb 20 sets Small (25” to 30” square): 50
3-5lb 50 sets Large & XL (30” to 50”): 100
6-8lb 75 sets
9-11lb 30 sets
Donation #1: HAWKEYE!
We are located in the heart of Hawkeye country!
Use any hat, bootie, or blanket pattern to make BLACK and GOLD “Hawkeye” hats and booties. We also need sewn blankets!
Deadline: Turn all items in or mail by 8-22-2008
UIHC Donation Date is the Friday before the first home football game of the seaon: 8-29-2008
Donation #2: PUMPKIN
We’re creating our own baby pumpkin patch at the UIHC!
Use orange and green yarn to make pumpkin hats, and matching booties! To find patterns for “pumpkin” hats on our website, click here: (Scroll all the way down for holiday patterns)
We also need sewn pumpkin themed flannel/fleece blankets!

Donation #3: WINTER HOLIDAYS
Winter and Holiday themed hats, bootie and blankets!
Deadline: Friday 12-12-2008
UIHC Donation Date: Friday 12-19-2008
These donations are a HUGE hit with the families! The nurses take pictures of the babies in these special items and make cards for the families. Little things like this mean a lot to the parents. I hope you will consider helping us with these donations this year.
