knitting at ball games
I went to the UNI Dome with my husband to watch high school playoffs and took my knitting bag!
On Friday my husband and I went to Cedar Falls to the high school football playoff games. We do this one day a year, just to watch people, kids, and football games. We left our house at ten a.m. and got home at ten p.m. and watched the last half of the first game, all the second and third games, and the first half of the last game. That should do it for football for the year, but no, we watched college games all Sat and pro games yesterday. I knit when I watch games, didn’t miss a play, and during the three days I did seven baby hats for Christmas and six pr of booties! I could not believe the number of women who walked past and either asked what I was making, or mentioned it was a really good idea to bring knitting along. Maybe we can start a new movement? I always told them why I was knitting, who they were for, and I hope sometime when I am promoting TPP, that someone will decide to knit some hats too!
It was a fun day and I was happy to get so much knitting done…..now on to the other things I have to do to get ready for the holidays. I am making pillows for my daughters-in-law, a quilt for my granddaughter, painting six sets of wine glasses for my son’s staff at his office, and painting three sets of wind chimes for my kids. I love making my gifts, I just wish I would do it during the summer instead of always waiting until the last minute….maybe some year!

WOW Nancy! That’s an incredible amount of knitting. Football time well spent. I do my fair share of knitting during football games too, but only from the comfort of my couch. Looks like you are busy…
