Look at this one!

Look at this cuteness that Carla Lyon dropped off at my office today. Carla is an MVP’s at our weekend sewing sessions. She has been at almost every one we have had sewing even the most veteran sewer under the table. Not only that but she has donated many dozen yards of fabric to help us with our mission.
I love this style of hat so I had to take a picture and show this to you. I think this is the first one I have seen that is crocheted.
I am not much of a crocheter, but, if you look at it it does not seem too hard to make. It is simply a single crochet. It appears to have been done “In the round”. Is that possible in crochet? That shows you that I am a knitter, This has got to be cute as heck when you get it on a tiny head.
Here is the rest of the set. Thanks Carla, for all you do.

Carla Lyons says:
Lynda,
I don’t recall which blanket pattern I used from my millions of books that I have. The hat also came from a crochet book. I actually made this one smaller than the actual pattern. If you can figure out the gauge for which size of hat you want to make, alls you have to do is chain how ever long you need to, to go around the babies head, slip stich ends together to make one continual circle, then just continue to single crochet around and around and around until the hat is the height that you want, then single crochet the top together like I did and add pompoms or tassels. Hope this is helpful!
