Bake Sale Success!!
The October bake sale was a huge success!
Due to the support of our volunteers and community, we raised $1600 at the sale yesterday. We could not be more pleased! In addition to baked goods, we also sold the few crafts left over this summers sale and our cookbook.
Thank you to the 25 plus bakers who made this event a success. Our house smelled SO good on Tuesday night! (We hoped to list your names, however we didn’t get everyones names during the shuffle of the sale.) Thank you to the Old Capitol Mall for allowing us to continue to hold bake sales for the 3rd year in a row. Thank you to Mary Anne Sheets, Audrey Knox, Linda Aker, Cindy Dayton, Nancy Fisher, Hazel Kerr, Jen Evans, and The UI Chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars for help setting up, tearing down and working this event. We appreciate you! A special thank you to Jane Fredericks, our fundraising chair, for planning another fantastic event!
Congratulations to all who participated. You deserve a round of applause. Just think of the beautiful blankets we can sew with $1600. Thanksgiving fabric sales, here we come!
