Calling All Crafters-3rd Annual Holiday Craft Sale

Crafters are desperately needed for our 3rd Annual Holiday Craft Sale!  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.  The employee’s of the UIHC have come to recognize our sales and often comment on “How well made” everything is.  I cannot count the number of times I was asked, during our summer sale, when we would be back.  They are all looking forward to it!  We need YOUR support to make this event successful!

Items Requested at our Summer Sale:
Men’s Hawkeye scrub caps
Flannel pillow cases (sets, 2 each)
John Deere items for little boys
Knitted Youth caps 1 year+ and 3-7 year olds (we didn’t have ANY this summer and they were requested countless times)
Quilts
Hawkeye Tag Blankets

Being that this is our Holiday sale, here are some holiday ideas:
Any item with a holiday theme: aprons, potholders, towels, pillows, etc
Christmas Ornaments!  (We would like to have enough this year to display on a tree)
Santa’s
Snowmen
Holiday Stockings
Gift Packages

Items that consistently sell well at all sales:
Jewelry: Bracelets, Necklaces and Earrings.  Stretchy bracelets for young girls always sell!
Washcloths and Potholders
Purses, Totes and Bags
Scarves and Hats!  (These go like hotcakes during the winter sale)
Soft Toys and Teddy Bears (anything that could be given as a gift)
Anything Hawkeye Themed (Teddy Bears, Blankets, Scarves, Hats, Bags, etc)
Dog and Cat Toys (always sell out!)
Baby Taggie Blankets
Baby Clothing Items (3-6mos and up)
Quilts and Blankets

We would also like to share the following Ideas for packaging Gift Bags:  The Fundraising Committee will put together these “Gift Bags”

Cook Book Gift Bag includes:  Cook book, hand towel with crochet handle for refrigerator door, dish cloth or hot pad

Baby Gift Bag includes:  Bib, soft toy, binki holder, socks, hat and booties or other combinations

Child Gift Bag includes:  Chunky crayons, coloring book, socks, flip flops, bookmark, hair pretties or other combinations

Animal Gift Bag includes:  Coat, chew toy, biscuits, catnip toy

Ladies Gift Bag includes:  Handmade soaps, bracelet, scented candle or other combinations

Snack Attack Gift Bag:  Packaged nuts, mini candy bars, hot chocolate, microwave popcorn or other combinations

REMEMBER ALL SNACK ITEMS MUST BE COMMERCIAL AND PRE-PACKAGED, NOTHING HOMEMADE.
