Volunteers Needed-January Work Group Weekend
Now that the holidays are over, we are busy getting back into the swing of things at TPP Headquarters. We are looking for volunteers for our January 2009 Work Group Weekend!
For those of you who have attended our past work groups, this one is going to be a little different. In addition to blankets, we will be sewing blanket sleepers for the UIHC NICU. These sleepers are a part of the NICUs new “Back to Sleep” campaign. Lessons for sewing the blanket sleepers will be provided. We also ask volunteers who own sergers to please bring them along!
**Potluck lunch will be served. Bring a small dish to share**

What are TPP Work Group Weekends?
TPP Work Group Weekends are two days of sewing for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the UIHC. Sewing skills are not necessary for participation. This month We will be making ~ 100-150 sewn blankets in addition to a number of Blanket Sleepers. We need A LOT of help to make this weekend successful!
What should I bring?
1. Sewing Supplies (If you own them already)-sewing machine, serger, thread, scissors, pins, etc
2. Potluck Lunch- Small dish to share

How can I help with preparations?
Volunteers are needed to wash fabric and use it to cut out and pin blankets and sleepers. Fabric/pins, patterns and printed directions provided. Email
