Announcement

The Preemie Project DOES NOT need donations of regular hats.  We have enough regular (non-holiday) hats, in all sizes, to last well over a year.  Please limit hat donations to hats for our special/holiday donations.  See our Calendar of Events for information on upcoming donations

We also need white hats for our infant bereavement program.  You can find pattern suggestions for hats for bereavement on our pattern page.

Urgent Need!

The Preemie Project has an urgent need for new Pack ‘n Plays. The Pack ‘n Plays are given to families that do not have a crib for their child and do not have the means to purchase one.

We have created “Baby Registries” to make it easy for you to donate items needed by NICU families that are facing financial crisis.  You can easily purchase pack ‘n plays from any of these registries and have them sent to us. You do not need to limit your choices to those on the registries.

Target Registry

Walmart Registry

Please see our Urgent Needs List for an updated list of items that we are most in need of.

Announcement

The Preemie Project is happy to announce that we will be providing support to Unity Point Health Trinity Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Bettendorf, Iowa! We were contacted by a NICU nurse from that hospital requesting any support we might be able to give.

We will make donations to this hospital 2 or 3 times per year.  Donations will include hats, booties, blankets, bereavement packages, memory boxes, developmental hearts and NICU bedding.

The hospital has about 1000 deliveries per year. Currently they have about 70 NICU admits per year and are expanding the number of beds in the unit.

Please visit our website programs page for information you need to craft for the babies.

Developmental Hearts

image

The Preemie Project is well stocked with Developmental Hearts.  Please DO NOT send any more fabric hearts to The Preemie Project.

But, we have compiled a list of HOSPITALS AND GROUPS REQUESTING DEVELOPMENTAL HEARTS. We are hoping TPP volunteers will rally and flood these wonderful hospitals with fabric hearts.

You can find a pattern for Developmental Hearts HERE

REMEMBER: DO NOT SEND FABRIC HEARTS TO THE PREEMIE PROJECT!  SEND THEM TO ONE OF THE HOSPITALS OR GROUPS ON THIS LIST.
