October Work Group

October 19, 2013
Solon Public Library

Did you know that October is National SIDS, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month?  This month is dedicated throughout the world to raising awareness of infant and pregnancy loss and to honoring and remembering babies and infants who died due to miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, SIDS and all infant deaths.

In honor of this event, we are making our own efforts to raise awareness.  So, our October 2013 will be dedicated to supporting our Bereavement Program.

Activities will include:
1. Organizing our Bereavement Packages (Outfits, Blankets, Stuffed Animals, Mementos, etc)
2. Sewing needed items for our packages (Stuffed Animals, Mother’s Tears Hankies, and our new Bereavement Bunting.

Those with little or no sewing experience are encouraged to attend. There will be plenty of tasks for non-sewers. Donations to support our Bereavement Program will also be accepted.

Please and let us know if you plan to attend, which day(s) and if you will bring a sewing machine.  This helps us with set-up and plans for the work to complete.

Saturday October 19th, 9am-3:30pm (Lunch Provided)
Sunday October 20th, Noon-4:30pm (Light Snacks Provided)
