Knit or crochet blankets for our infant bereavement packages: Colors needed: WHITE, PALE PINK AND PALE BLUE (solid color only). We need at least 1/2 of the blankets to be WHITE. We need blankets in sizes from 15 x 15 inches up to 36 x 36 inches.
Knit sleepers: All sizes needed in pale pink and pale blue. Most needed sizes are 2-3lb and 3-5lb in pale pink or pale blue. Please use stockinette stitch only. Click here for a highly requested pattern
Knit Buntings: Biggest need is for the smaller size in boy colors and the larger size in all colors. Click here for a highly requested pattern
WHITE booties: White booties needed for our infant bereavement packages. Most needed sizes are 2-3lb and 3-5lb. See our Measurements Guide for more information on sizing the booties. It is very important to bind off at the ankle very loosely so the booties will stretch over the foot
Hats for our infant bereavement packages: Solid White, light pink, pale blue hats in all sizes. At least 1/2 of the hats should be plain white. UIHC L&D; requests some hats that are as small as 6 inches around for very early loss. That size hat would fit over an egg. Colors for these hats include white, pale green, pale pink, pale blue. NO DARK OR BRIGHT COLORS PLEASE! These hats must be very stretchy and easy to put on the tiny baby. A good pattern for this is Bev's Micro-Preemie Baby Ribs Beanie. See our Measurements Guide for more information on sizing the hats.
