Measurements Update
Please note the following changes to our Measurement Guidelines. These guidelines are made in consultation with the staff at the UIHC NICU we support.
Revised Blanket Measurements
* Standard NICU blanket: 30” to 42” square
* X-Large: 42” to 50” square
Blankets smaller than these sizes are not used at UIHC NICU.
Blankets may be knit or Crochet. The blanket should not have excessively large holes and should be made from the softest yarns.
Sewn blankets for use in the NICU should be made from Fleece or flannel. Quilts or other blankets with seams through the blankets or ties, cannot be used in the NICU. Quilts will be donated for going home supplies and should be of standard or x-large size.
The NICU at University Hospital does NOT use Sleep Sacks like the popular Preemie Ripple Sleep Sack. Knit or crochet blankets are preferred for use with the fragile preemies.

Technical Difficulties
Currently, several files on our website are not showing up. We are experiencing technical difficulties and will have this problem fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime, do not worry about including donation tags with your items. We will add them in prior to donating your items. Thank you for your patience!
