Purple Hats Donation Deadline

We are asking TPP volunteers to make 500 NEWBORN SIZED PURPLE HATS for the 2016 Iowa Click for Babies Campaign!

‘The goal of the CLICK for Babies campaign is to increase awareness and educate others about the Period of PURPLE Crying that all infants go through, how to respond to prolonged crying, and the importance of never shaking your child - all in an effort to prevent the shaking and abuse of infants.‘ 

The Iowa Click for Babies has a goal of 3500 hats each year.  Last year they were short of that goal. We are positive that the power of TPP volunteers can help this wonderful campaign reach their goals this year.

-Hats must be at least 50% Purple

-Hats must be NEWBORN SIZE. Do not make preemie size

-Hats should be about 14 inches diameter (13 to 15 inches)

-Hats should be 4 to 6 inches long

-At least half of your hats should be “boy-friendly”.  Many will add stripes of Blue, gray, green.  Purple football hats are awfully cute.

-Flower hats are still in big demand for the little girls

The official campaign for Iowa Click for Babies 2016 does not start until sometime late spring.  So, DO NOT send hats to Iowa Click for Babies. 

We will finish the TPP “official campaign” for purple hats on April 1, 2016. That way you will have plenty of time to start Red, White and Blue hats for 4th of July.
