Dear TPP Supporters:
The mission of The Preemie Project Family Support Program is to ensure that every baby discharged from The University of Iowa Children’s Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit has a safe sleeping environment and supplies needed to transition to home.. We seek to provide for the most basic needs of the child.
It is heartbreaking to learn that there are many families at UICH NICU that are taking their baby home that DO NOT have clothing, formula prescribed by their physician, diapers or a crib available for their child. TPP endeavors to provide the most basic needs for these families.
These are the Items we are asking you to help us supply:
-Pak n Plays
-pak n play sheets (sewn or purchased) Yes, the NICU fitted crib sheet fits a pak n play!
-9-11 lb Blanket Sleepers (sewn)
-snap front sleepers - size newborn and 0-3 month
-formula - Neosure / Enfacare (for preemies) or Enfamil / Similac Infant (regular formula)
-diapers - Newborn and Size 1. Pampers preferred
-bottles
We have created “baby registries” with the items that are most requested by the Social Workers at UICH NICU. Please click on the links provided in the boxes in the sidebar to take you directly to our baby registries.
We sincerely thank you for any help you can give the families at UICH NICU that are facing financial crisis due to their infant’s extended stay in the NICU
